Those who ride motorcycles know how to protect themselves from breaking their bones when the worst fall happens; in most countries, it is a personal obligation to drive the motorcycle while being protected. When it comes to electric unicycles or electric scooters we are in the grey zone. Some countries may have a law that states that we should wear this or that, but in most, the law does not define anything, so wearing the proper clothing is not mandatory. There is zero doubt that you should use a full-face helmet like Ruroc, TSG, and protection for your body when using electric unicycles, electric scooters and ebikes.

While ABS plastic body armor performs very well, some of the people like to look less “TERMINATOR” on EUCs and avoid being spotted right away. ABS chest body protectors feel on the body more like an extra layer or a shell. Many people are thrown away by that and then they decide to ride without any protection at all not expecting the unexpected. There is no need for that, there are many new polymer materials that perform well as LEVEL 1 or LEVEL 2 protection while keeping the natural feel of body motion without exposing the body armor at all. For more stealthy looks and something that feels comfortable, flexible, elastic on the body, companies use a type of polymer that becomes super stiff and resistant at the point of impact. These level 2 protection polymers are inserted into the clothing to protect the body when the fall happens.
