Last week EarthX expo, one of the biggest international non-profit dedicated to environmental issues and a networking hub for sustainability-oriented organizations, was held in Dallas, Texas. Some of the most exciting sustainability startups and organizations showcased their products. Several electric vehicle manufacturers were present, and the e-bike department was represented by Delfast, a Ukrainian-based electric bike company that has set the Guinness World record for the range on an e-bike.
“We’re glad to become even more intertwined with the global sustainability community and getting all this attention to our company was just an added benefit to a conference that has a great goal”, – said Daniel Tonkopiy, Delfast CEO. “It’s amazing to get the feedback from people in the electric vehicle industry, as well as from fans of electric transportation in general”.
Delfast was presenting its new e-bike prototype, designed specifically for municipal services, in this case – the police department. The company says that the bike has 170 miles of range and develops a speed of 50 miles per hour. “It is extremely economical in maintenance, incredibly mobile and, as expected, noiseless – which are the qualities the police departments are looking for, as we’ve learned from extensive analysis and interviews when developing the bike”, – according to Delfast spokesman. “Currently, two states in the USA have expressed a desire to test the bikes and we are looking towards expanding this initial pool”.
