Innotorq torque Ebike Sensor System for Pedalec applications

Innotorq ebike sensors and Innotorq drive train system for Pedalec electric bikes will put the end to “pedaling to catch the ebike speed feeling”. Cheap Pedelec ebike systems have a bad torque pedal relationship.

Most of the time you choose 1-5 speed limit buttons and pedal with the bike. At the same time when you set the speed limit to option 1 for example; when pedaling very slowly the bike speeds up to full speed limit of 12 km/h per hour. It does not matter how much force and torque you put into continually pedaling, the bike will accelerate to the given speed limit even if you applied very little force. This relationship is what Innotorq is changing and the same thing is what gives premium bikes that fluid feel to pedaling. The torque sensor is where the solution is.

It amplifies your potential power just a little above the applied force and it gives you more accurate speed and stability. Innotorq sensor does this by realtime processing the torque data ( applied force).

“Integrated into the rear freewheel system, the innotorq sensor is the only sensor system that measures pedaling force electromagnetically in real-time directly within the power flow of the propulsion axle. This allows for very accurate power metering, and an immediate reaction to any change in pedaling force enables the perfect control of any pedelec rear wheel motor. The innotorq sensor is the most accurate in the market and is at the core of the outstanding performance of innotorq’s drive train systems. As it meters electronically and contactless, it is wear-free, maintenance-free and very reliable” – Innotorq

“Current mechanical pedaling power metering systems work indirectly, thus being complex, expensive, not very accurate and requiring permanent re-calibrating. The innotorq sensor obtains its power data by utilizing the magnetolastic principle. It measures the change of electromagnetic fields stemming from the pedaling force influence to the sensor. This allows for linear, repeatable and accurate metering. Free of wear, even in extreme conditions and ongoing. innotorq has patented this technology for the rear wheel, and is the only supplier which offers it for pedelec rear wheel motors.” – Innotorq

Innotorq DRIVE TRAIN PEDALEC SYSTEM

INNOTORQ DRIVETRAINWith the sensor at the core, the innotorq drive train system translates biker pedaling force into a well-dosed propulsion – almost unnoticable and with the riding experience of a classic bicycle: Natural Drive! With a power and performance range that lives up to any other drive train, whether for cruising with a few Watts of support or up to 800 Watts for climbing slopes.

The drive train system consists of the following, well-synchronized components:

  • the patented innotorq sensor, which provides the information for controlling the drive train
  • the lightest (1.9 kg) and smallest motor in its performance class in the market, just slightly larger than a regular wheel hub.
  • the high performance controller, which is responible for the optimal response characteristics of the motor and the right motor support in all drive situations.
  • a multifunctional designer display as interface to the biker, to always control the ‘Natural Drive’ drive experience – from Eco up to High Power.
  • customizable lithium-ion battery packs with variable performance characteristics.
