Sketch Coleman who created hubsink and his crf-e motorcycle just announced his 4th version of the Wheelie Box. A small piece of tech that lets you balance an electric or even a gas bike without much effort. Initially, it was designed for safety: To stop people from flipping accidentally while performing a wheelie.
Do you remember the Audi e-bike commercial from a few years back?
Everybody got excited about this feature. In the end, Audi never released the bike, and the separate Wheelie unit was never made. Until now, nobody made this kind of unit for E-bikes or Electric motorcycles. We still do not know if Audi really had this kind of tech, or one of the best drivers in the world just made it look like a real Audi E-bike feature
How does the Wheelie Box Work?
Please look at all the pictures provided as a description of how it works. Easiest way to explain Wheelie Box is to say:
IT IS A DEVICE CONNECTED BETWEEN THROTTLE AND CONTROLLER THAT KNOWS HOW MUCH POWER IT NEEDS TO PERFORM A WHEELIE. IN THAT CASE, IT BALANCES THROTTLE INPUT AND OUTPUT POWER ON ITS OWN, AND ACTUALLY OVER-TAKES THE POTENTIOMETER ( THROTTLE ) SETTINGS ITSELF WHEN IT IS TURNED ON
To make it work, you need to set up some parameters on PC or Mac as explained on document.

I’ve been quiet but I’ve been busy!
The 4th version of the Wheelie Box / Launch Control Module is done, it’s fully potted and shock/waterproof now and ready to start organizing public beta testing and get your feedback on a limited number of units.
The programming software is now ready for PC and Mac so you can tune it to your specs, and the Quickstart guide is usable if not yet polished.
I’ll keep this post updated with Beta testers, so far Daren Crigler and Peter Kovacs have units on the way – Sketch Coleman
A gas bike version it also on the way. Not interested for Ev Nerds, but some can find that interesting as well.
