So what did exactly OTTO BIKE company do so right with MCR, MCRS and MXR electric motorcycle line that we are calling it the biggest surprise of EICMA 2019. ?
- DESIGN – Up to the smallest detail, the build quality is amazing. It is a giant step from EICMA 2018 to what the company showed this year. Naysayers out there should know that OTTO BIKE did make a small batch already to test scale production: They are not built that good only for show!
- UNIQUE – The bikes are built from the ground up! Those who seek incredible and unique design without apparent influence from other bike companies will find visible design details that make OTTO BIKE models stand out from other electric motorcycles.
- SMART – Most EV companies brag about smart features connectivity only to end up with colored screen that has charge, voltage and speed information This bikes software is top of the line with many working smart features!
- POWER – The company is Taiwanese and has production planned in Vietnam and Taiwan with top of the line components with big batteries and 140 Km/h speed!
- DISTRIBUTION – Not ready to jeopardize the quality, OTTO BIKE is taking it slowly and still considering the end price for bikes. They spent 2,5 years perfecting these products. This year OTTO BIKE opened a European office in Italy where the bike supply and parts will be warehoused. That means that distributors in 2020. and therefore future OTTO BIKE MCR customers will have full service in Europe. New established distributors in Europe will go through the training process to service OTTO BIKE models in their region so that the end customer is never let down.
The list goes on and on, but first, watch a VIDEO of our trip to EICMA 2019 and a drive video that OTTO BIKE kindly let us use.

MCR Hub Motor and Mid Motor Electric Motorcycle on EICMA 2019
OTTO BIKE announced the launch of its “MCR” (former “MCR II”) in the European market for the second quarter of 2020. It is the step to transform the company from an on-stage rising star to people’s daily travel partner. With the power to go up to 230 km riding range per charge, daily commute and holiday trips can surely be managed with it. MCR comes in two different technical models:
1. MCR with the hub motor

The hub motor version of “Mini City Racer” carries one battery and has a respectable range of 120 Km per charge. With 4,5 kW of continuous power, it will reach 99 Km/h and charge from 0-100% in 2,25 hours with 1,2 kW onboard charger. We do not know the system voltage, but we know the battery has 69.9 Ah. As you can see, small details like exact Lithium-ion battery cells and complete voltage systems are hidden before the OTTO BIKE and respectable distributors start selling them.
MCR HUB MOTOR TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
When looking at MCR electric motorcycle alone the pictures or reading the name that starts with “Mini”, one could think these bikes are small in size as OTTO BIKE first-generation prototype back in 2017. was. This was our biggest concern when we came to the stand, but in reality, when you get on them or look other people sitting that is not the case. It is a serious bike ( 1,318mm wheelbase, around 80 cm seat height and a total length of 1,887mm), we will let you be the judge of that. Here on the pictures, you can see a guy 1,80 m and 105 Kg sitting on the bike. Well, to be completely honest, add 10 more Kg to our friend sitting on the bike.

100 Km/h speed is too little for you guys? Read on…..
2. MCR with the Mid-Motor

MCR mid-motor electric motorcycle is a 140 Km/h beast with a 230 Km range ( 50km/h ) and 2 step belt transmission. Charging time is about 4,5 hours to 80 percent. One can choose Eco, Turbo and Sport mode as in all of the OTTO BIKE models. The design is practically the same as MCR hub motor, with different color side-covers and a chunky water-cooled electric mid-motor that screams reliability! Mid-motor has 30 Nm on the shaft and 273 Nm on the rear wheel, making this motorcycle a good and aggressive bike with 10,5 kW of continuous power!

OTTO BIKE showed up with some interesting custom colors as well. Behind this crazy colored MCR, there is a NOON DESIGN logotype. NOON Design company in Taiwan is responsible for MCRs design that was brought to life by the engineering team of OTTO BIKE. We support those who are without fear on this market, those who look for new ideas, and those with the courage to do something different and go beyond the regular lines and proven ideas that already work in the eyes of consumers. It is with that formula the OTTO BIKE MCR line ended up looking so damn good. So check out the NOON design portfolio if you wish! Here is a link!

3. MCRS Mid-Motor
As MCR’s production progresses, OTTO BIKE also started to think about how to invent more products to meet customers’ needs. From this consideration as the core value of the brand, the single-seat MCR S and off-road MXR, two concept motorcycles, extended from the original MCR, are born this year.

MCRS design promotes a joyful ride, while MXR embodies an outdoor adventurous spirit. The unique body design and stable performance make them unrivaled for exciting experiences. The exclusive single-seat design emphasizes more individualism with its rugged street motorcycle style. The overall appearance is visually lighter while the body is refined and vivid with its central motor system and two batteries equipped inside. Equipped with the same powerful driving system as the mid-motor MCR, its 8-second instant acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h is nothing to be underestimated. Meanwhile, a helmet is allowed to be placed in its spacious storage space.

3. MXR Mid-Motor Bike
The 2020 OTTO BIKE’S concept dirt bike, “Maxi Extreme Rider (MXR)”, embodies the outdoor adventurous spirit. The futuristic design outlines the courage to take challenges in the rugged surroundings. While crossing on off-road terrains with MXR, the rider becomes a pathfinder conquering the unknown fearlessly.
The off-road motorcycle is always being a representative symbol of adventure. The spirit of off-road motorcycles is for conquering the steep mountain roads and insisting on moving forward. MXR uses its avant-garde design to outline the shape of adventure.
