E-bike Battery Scope from Eurobike 2017
E-bike Battery trends in late 2017 and beginning of 2018 are Integrated batteries in E-bike down tube and Battery cases that include E-bike charger and controller in one package
This is showing how E-bike Battery Tech and E-bike battery Industry is becoming more profound at its products, and more mature towards the market needs.
Unfortunately, most of the market does not need 84v 40 ah battery, since the power generated inside this battery is not interesting for big consumers. For example; High power E-bikes like this
Biggest consumers are Eu, USA E-bikes; Walmart E-bikes that don’t need a licence plate. We are talking about 250-800 watt motor combinations.Brose motor for example:
To be able to push products fast on the market, E-bike companies need Integrated E-bike downtube batteries, and Integrated E-bike battery cases that include charger and controller. Fewer wires sticking out, fewer problems to think about.
When did u see the last time Integrated solution for the Electric motorcycle that has integrated charger, controller, and expansion ready pack?
Something like Motoczycz. Thats what we would like to see for High Power Electric motor industry

You still need to make your own packs, since there is no flexibility in current market offers for big Battery packs ( Modular batteries for example – that you just stick in the battery case, and add an extra cube to the existing case that includes charger and controller that u can choose). We are happy to see that at least E-bike low power solutions look like this
Now E-bike brands in the industry can get more concentration on design and overall product details, and less about the tech.
So most products offered by big companies that are not customized, but made in bulk ready for market are 36v – 48v batteries with 5ah to 15ah power.

All Chinese suppliers now offer Samsung, Panasonic and other battery brand options for this kind of packs.18650 have become a standard for E-bikes in last two years. DLG-BATTERY Co. is one of those who makes cells for this packs. They may be an interesting competitor to mentioned brands if the price is right. For now, we don’t know the price.
