Jambon-Beurre Motorcycle produced custom electric motorcycle with 80kw power
Jambon-Beurre Motorcycle is a custom bike shop based in Paris run by Antonin and Benjamin.
By the looks, it seems that these guys have fun and enjoy their work as well as build bitchin bikes! Their DO IT list was already populated with the 80s and 90s motorbikes that they build in their garage. Just like that, they turned electric one day
They have always been convinced that electric bikes are great, and even more convinced after testing a BMW e-scooter. One of the things they were astonished by is the torque and power of electric bikes. So they thought about integrating those great qualities into a bike as cool as those they usually build
1993 Suzuki DR800 donor
They choose a 1993 Suzuki DR800 for the donor platform because this beefy dual-sport frame can handle the size and torque of the 107-hp, 80kw brushless motor
Jambon-Beurre Motorcycle: “This e-project was the first step of the plan. We are now working on a funding campaign (and still looking for investors!) for the creation of a mass production prototype. This new bike is going to have a totally new design with a more civilized vintage style. Drivable with a light bike driving license and equipped with very innovative charging options. Our design will be ready by the end of this year and the first prototype must hit the road by mid-2018 in order to start the production in 2019.”
