EvNerds visited Moto Parilla stand at EICMA this year to check out the newest Tricolore ebikes. We wrote about this ebikes before our trip, but we can’t find words that can express how impressive and detailed this designs are in the real world!
Moto Parilla Presented Tricolore Ebike range on EICMA 2022. – VIDEO
Moto Parilla brand, previously founded in the sixties, was bought back in 2017, when Filippo Beltrami, still a student at the time, together with his professor and a designer, decided to create a new type of electric bicycle which took the name of Carbon SUV.
In 2021 Moto Parilla redesigned Carbon, improving the defects and optimizing the frame, giving life to an electric bicycle produced and built entirely in Italy. The frame went through a different process of customization and different decals to fully customize customers’ experience. As you can see in this video, there was no money spared on any of these parts.
CARBON SUV was more about design and the extravagant experience of the city ride and less about jumping and true MTB feeling. Tricolore MX is a different ebike than the older Carbon SUV brother. Everything came perfectly balanced together in this all-terrain ebike geometry that made us drool!
This year the company presented a full suspension, all-terrain TRICOLORE ebike line-up: Tricolore MX, Tricolore MR, and Tricolore M. The differences are mainly in suspension, brakes, and some smaller styling parts for different overall design look.
Moto Parilla has chosen an Italian Polini E-P3+ MX (250 Watt nominal – 600 Watt peak – 90 Nm – 36V – 5 mappings) motor for their Tricolore ebike.
The frame is monocoque with integrated Spanninga lights in carbon headtube and Seatpost. depending on the version you choose. The brakes are Magura MT5, MT7 PRO, or BCA. Keeping the industry standard as we expected the rear wheel is 27,5 inches and the front wheel is 29 inches.
The battery is the same in all versions; Polini 880Wh – 36V with Polini TFT display on the handle-bar.

Tricolore Ebike is Made Different!
1. Hemp Cover
One of the main features of Tricolore is the presence of a cover system made of hemp fiber, which is also totally recyclable because the fiber used is organic. Moto Parilla uses hemp in order to follow the ecological transition, to find substitutable, less polluting materials for vehicles throughout the cycling and motorcycling industry.
The top cover has an airtight seal to prevent the entry of fluids or dirt but at the same time allows the passage of cables inside the chassis. The holes allow mounting of additional accessories, such as water bottles or additional display. Quick release or lock closure system will allow maximum convenience in inserting and removing the battery.
2. Innovative swingarm
Tricolore’s swingarm is developed after a study that lasted nearly two years. Thanks to a bold innovative choice, it is single bilateral arm made entirely of carbon fiber. In addition, it is reinforced with aluminum inserts in the place of wheel coupling, rear brake caliper and suspension system, to ensure stability and strength.
The wide swingarm provides diversity to fit tires up to 3.5″ and allows excellent mud drainage under all circumstances. The transmission system is 12-speed, and the Flip-Chip system will allow easy variation of the wheelbase.
3. Lightning system
The futuristic rear lighting system is integrated into the seat post of the frame and powered by the primary battery. The entire system is directly controlled from the handlebar, ensuring ease of use and performance in daytime and night trials.
The front lighting system is inside Tricolore’s carbon fiber monocoque frame.
4. Small storage space
At the heart of Tricolore we can find supertight internal storage, carved into the frame and accessible by lock or quick release, where emergency kit, repair tools or other personal items can be stored.
